🪑 About the overall atmosphere 🎡
This place belongs to a level one battlefield in the restaurant industry, so it’s normal not to have parking spaces for cars. Sukiya from Japan has an overall Japanese decor style; the interior design is warm-toned, and if you dine in, it gives a very cozy feeling. Many people might not know how to pronounce "すき家," but in Chinese, it’s probably called "食其家" (Shiqijia).
💰 About the pricing 💰
The takeaway value bowl of beef rice is $109, and the menu is divided into dine-in and takeaway. Of course, the descriptions are also in that cute Japanese style. What I find a bit puzzling is that there is no mobile payment option available; cash is the only method.
🍴 About the meals ☕
When you open the lid, you can see a generous amount of beef slices and onions, to the point where you can't even see the white rice. Once you lift it, there is really just meat, onions, and rice; it seems packed only halfway! The overall portion is a bit small, but it’s not overwhelmingly salty; because the seasoning is just right, even though it's simple, you won’t get tired of it. The meat is cut quite thin without overlapping, and it retains some juice; however, I think there could be a little more onion.
🤨 Conclusion ♥
Each meal has 3-5 sizes, ranging from mini bowl, medium bowl, value bowl, large bowl to MEGA. I think next time I want to see how big the MEGA really is; otherwise, finishing this leaves me feeling quite empty! But it was really delicious.
