The Tiger Sauce Wenzhou Wonton brand can be seen everywhere in Taipei streets, and the "Vegetable and Meat Wonton" item seems to have never been seen before when I lived in Kaohsiung, Tainan and other places. It is probably the same as Miso Gong Wan Egg Drop Soup. , are they all northern inventions? But compared to vegetable and meat wontons, I prefer ordinary fresh meat wontons.
In addition to vegetable and meat wontons, fresh meat wontons, shrimp and meat wontons, and flower-shaped wontons, this place also sells noodles. Even if you don’t want to eat wonton noodles, there are tiger noodles, fried noodles, sesame paste noodles, etc.
Sesame sauce and red oil noodles (fresh meat) $80
There are only 5 wontons. Even though the wontons are quite big, they are mainly dough and have less meat filling.
The meat filling is deliciously seasoned, and paired with a sauce based on soy sauce and sesame paste, it tastes a bit sweet, which I personally like.
Even though it’s called Hong You Chao Shou, it’s not spicy at all. It’s recommended to add spicy oil to give it a more layered taste.
The side dishes are a huge plate and only cost $35, which is quite generous. Almost every customer at the table got a side dish, but I didn’t eat it, so I won’t comment on the taste.
Overall, the fresh meat wontons are quite to my taste, and the sesame sauce and red oil seasoning are also good. The small disadvantages are that they are a little more expensive and the portions are a little smaller. I might want to order the fresh meat noodles to make me fuller.
