Let’s talk about the conclusion first: It meets the standards of a high-end steak restaurant. It’s a good experience once, but I might not particularly want to visit again next time.
Today we are visiting MEATGQ, a high-end steak brand owned by Hoshino Catering Group. There are other restaurants of the Hoshino Resorts Group nearby, and they thoughtfully provide exclusive parking lots, which is very convenient.
As soon as you enter the store, you will feel the comfortable atmosphere and environment. Before ordering, the service staff will remind you that each person will be charged 60 yuan for water, and ask if you want mineral water or sparkling water, and you can also choose to add lemon slices.
After ordering, the pre-dinner bread was served, which was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. It tasted great with butter or truffle salt. Although the bread can be refilled, I decided not to use it in order to save my stomach for other meals.
Next is the appetizer of creamy white shrimps. The shrimps are shelled first. They are fresh and chewy and delicious.
The soup is porcini cappuccino, which has a rich flavor and is delicious, but there are a little too many bubbles in the soup, which affects the taste of the soup.
For the main meal, I chose Australian M8+ Wagyu rib-eye steak medium rare. The meat quality is excellent, tender and juicy. You can feel its complete flavor by simply dipping it with salt.
The side dish of French fries is relatively ordinary and comes with ketchup to go with it.
The drink is iced black tea, and fructose is provided to adjust the sweetness.
The dessert is chocolate cake, which has a strong chocolate flavor and a sweet taste. It is paired with the blackcurrant ice cream on the side, which is sour and sweet, which makes it more delicious.
Overall, the food was excellent, but other than the main dishes, there was nothing memorable about it. I wish it could be more unique at this price point. My first dining experience was satisfying, but I might consider looking for other more unique restaurants next time.
