The restaurant recommended by my companion has beautiful white architecture, and there's dining space on the first, second, and fourth floors. The combination of white with wicker and wood tones creates a very comfortable overall feel. The tables are cute with a terrazzo-like surface, making it a very photogenic restaurant.
The women's restroom is on the second floor, while the other floors are accessible to everyone. The space is large and comfortable, with thoughtful amenities like sanitary napkins provided.
As for the food:
First, there's the complimentary lava cheese bread. The soft bread paired with cheese sauce is delicious, absolutely to my liking. The staff mentioned that it can be refilled for free, but I didn't dare to ask for more since I don't eat a lot.
I ordered the spicy mouth-watering chicken and century egg spaghetti, with a slightly spicy flavor. The mouth-watering chicken paired with century eggs is quite rich in taste, and I found it to be quite tasty. It compares to the fresh oyster cilantro spicy douban sauce risotto, which is a less common choice on pasta menus, making it quite special. The risotto contains a decent amount of fresh oysters and isn't too spicy.
The scallop and cream sauce spaghetti was also enjoyable; the scallops paired well with the cream sauce, and there were more scallops than I expected. For those who like cream sauces, it’s a reliable option.
I initially wanted to order a cake for dessert, but the staff informed me that they no longer had the Basque cheesecake or the French chestnut tart that I was interested in. So, I settled for a canelé, which comes in different flavors. I chose hazelnut, and although it was a bit mini-sized, the hazelnut flavor was nice and not overly sweet.
Overall, I felt that there were many food options, and they also offered wine to pair with meals. I would love to celebrate a birthday here and try the dishes and desserts I missed today, along with some wine. I overheard the table next to me celebrating a birthday, and the staff were quite patient in helping them take group photos, asking them to pick the best ones before printing them out. It seems like a very suitable restaurant for celebrating special occasions.
