公田溝活魚餐廳 南投埔里

In Taiwan, there are always these restaurants located in the countryside. Without the guidance of locals, it would be quite hard for me to find this restaurant. This time, I happened to come to Taichung because of work, and after we finished, they took us directly to this restaurant. I heard that the grilled fish 🐟 at this restaurant must be reserved in advance because if you order it upon arrival, you might have to wait longer for it to be grilled. So if you can inform the owner in advance about your arrival time, they can grill the fish ahead of time. If you arrive at the restaurant in about 20 to 30 minutes, you can enjoy the delicious grilled fish!

When we arrived at the restaurant, the parking lot was already full of cars. Indeed, there were many people dining inside. Interestingly, some children had even jumped into their fish pond to play. You can imagine that the fish we were about to eat were actually the same fish that those kids had just been playing with, adding a little fun for the children!

These bamboo shoots are very special and quite different from the sword bamboo shoots or sweet bamboo shoots we usually eat. My friend told me that this is actually a local specialty, so if you're here, you should definitely try it!

This dish is also quite popular among many diners. I generally dare to try any kind of meat, so when my friends asked me if I was willing to eat this, I quickly agreed. They said that when you come to a place like this, trying muntjac meat really feels like finding a treasure, as the meat is tender and delicious. Plus, the stir-fried preparation enhances the flavor, making it a great dish to accompany rice. It’s truly an excellent choice!
