In Yilan, there are many places that sell scallion pancakes, and Grandma's scallion pancakes are fried. If not specifically requested, they come with one egg; if you want them without egg or with double egg, you need to inform them. They are crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, with the scallions placed in the middle, giving them a distinct flavor. They add a bit of spice but are not too spicy, and I think the spiciness enhances the taste. Eating them occasionally feels quite delicious.
Fried food is very sensitive to cooling down as it can easily absorb oil smells, so it's recommended to eat them as soon as you buy them. The auntie's attitude is friendly and warm. They also sell traditional drinks and snacks like peanuts. On the afternoon I visited, there was completely no line, and I felt very lucky. Previously, they often had issues with cars parking haphazardly at the corner, but now they have moved to a new location diagonally across with a parking lot available, which feels much better.
