This time, I visited 'Hakone Dolce studio STELLA', just a 5-minute walk from Hakone Yumoto Station! Here you can enjoy original gelato crafted with seasonal and local ingredients!

The original gelato at 'Hakone Dolce studio STELLA' is handmade in their workshop within the store every day. They use carefully selected ingredients, starting with produce from Odawara. The pistachio gelato is lavishly made with the maximum amount of pistachios allowed in gelato, while the nut gelato blends five types of nuts with 100% pure homemade nut paste, ensuring you can enjoy the true flavors of the ingredients. They use a lot of ingredients to pack the gelato with quality and flavor. Additionally, they place great importance on presentation, ensuring that the gelato catches the eye of passersby when displayed in the showcase.

What sets 'Hakone Dolce studio STELLA' apart from other gelato shops is that in addition to cups and cones, they offer a traditional Sicilian pastry called "cannolo" (a tube-shaped fried pastry) and Neapolitan pastry "sfogliatella" (a baked pastry with multiple layers) as vessels for enjoying the gelato. It is all handmade as well!

【Pistachio】
This rich gelato is made with an abundance of organic Sicilian pistachios, and it has a restrained sweetness that allows you to fully appreciate the nutty aroma of the pistachios!

【Plum Gelato】
This gelato uses plums from Odawara. It was refreshing with the natural tartness and flavor of the plums!

Although the space is a bit small, there is a place to eat in, making it a perfect spot to cool off and enjoy gelato while taking a break from walking!

Once again, Harapeko-chan is fully satisfied!

Egg waffle made fresh with lots of options. Our go to option is the regular flavor adding cheese. The outside is crispy and the inside gooey and salty and is the perfect flavor combination. This time we tried the salted egg flavor. It's good, but I found myself longing for the cheesy option we usually get. It does take several minutes for orders to be ready so be prepared to wait a little. Great for an afternoon snack!

Snow desserts are one of my favorites with the soft texture and natural flavors. This place really hit the spot. Service was a bit on the slow side but it was worth it, they have to make them 1-2 at a time. The space was comfortable as well, and portions were generous. I prefer ice monster locations from my past memory but still very satisfied with this location.

Apologies in advance, I did not take pictures of what this place is most well known for, but still want to leave a review to recommend this place to others. We wanted just hot dessert like red bean or tofu custard, which they have and we ordered. When we saw the snow desserts that were flying around and the big pictures advertising the snow desserts on the wall we caved in and ordered one (and in my distraction I forgot to take a picture). But this place is very efficiently run and heavily visited, many tourists as well. They have a large amount of seating and it was easy for us to find given how many people were around. But yeah, the snow dessert we ordered later came before the other things that we ordered. And it was really great, definitely worth a try. The grass jelly dessert I ordered was fine, and was what I was looking for but nothing special. Just order any of their snow ice desserts though, you won't be disappointed.
