A new Japanese sensation of the popular breakfast chain in Singapore! Limited edition super fragrant sweet red bean kaya toast 🍞
Ya Kun's kaya toast is already quite famous, right? This classic breakfast in Singapore and Malaysia is a must-try. There used to be branches in Taiwan, but unfortunately, they all closed down later.
Today, I visited the only branch in Japan, located near the Imperial Palace at the Tokyo International Forum. The menu includes the classic kaya toast and soft-boiled eggs, but I noticed there is a "Japan limited" option—red bean kaya toast.
The slices of toast are baked to a brown color, but they don’t feel dry or hard; they’re crispy yet soft and aromatic. The sweetness of the kaya sauce pairs well with the red bean paste, creating a unique Japanese-Nanyang flavor.
This time, I didn’t order eggs and coffee because I was too full, but I recommend those who love kaya to try this limited edition flavor when they have the chance!
