🚩Geographic Location🧭
Located at the intersection of Meicun South Road and Lane 191 in the South District of Taichung City, the triangular window storefront is easy to find with its bright red signage. The entrance is marked with red lines, and it’s not easy to find parking at the triangular window location, so you’ll need to look for a parking space elsewhere.
🪑About the Overall Atmosphere🎡
The store is not large, and it’s often crowded during meal times, requiring a wait. There are long benches inside and outside for waiting. The air conditioning inside is quite cool, and orders are placed by scanning a QR code with your phone, with payment options including cash and LINE PAY; there is no service charge. The menu states that after ordering, you should inform the staff, but I’m not sure what that means, as it seems to defeat the convenience of self-service ordering.
💰About the Price💰
Sirloin steak $209 + mushroom sauce, with no options for doneness.
🍴About the Meal☕
The meal still features the classic Taiwanese steak configuration, with a fried egg on top of the iron plate noodles, and the steak placed on top. The meat is about medium rare, relatively thin but quite tender, probably not composite meat. The iron plate noodles are flavorful, suggesting they were pre-cooked rather than placed directly on the plate. The toasted bread nearby comes with peanut butter, chocolate sauce, and more for pairing, but out of the two toasters, one of mine had two out of four slices taken by someone else. The toast itself is quite delicious, but it dampened my enthusiasm a bit. Cold drinks available include soda, orange juice (which lacks flavor), and traditional winter melon tea. Soft serve ice cream, tub ice cream, coffee, popcorn, and corn chowder are all unlimited.
🤨Conclusion♥
The main dish is quite tasty, but due to the small size of the store, the self-service area is always crowded. I think I waited over ten minutes just to find a spot to toast a piece of bread, and then half of it was taken away! Aside from the overcrowding due to the small space, the food is quite good.
