Banqiao District, New Taipei - A shop selling various drinks and ice products (formerly Mocha Ice City). They also sell tomato beef noodles? 😆 (We didn’t eat it), this time we came to eat fruit ice powder and snowflake ice to cool down in the summer!
📍Fruit Ice Powder NT$70
🔹Two fruits + three precious fruits
🌕🌕🌕🌘🌑
It was my first time to try "ice powder". It is a popular food in southwest China and is made from the seeds of the stone flower tree. (Somewhat similar to Aiyu, but more Q)
The boss will first use shaved ice as the base, top with brown sugar, and then top with ice powder. Then you can choose three kinds of precious fruit toppings. I chose red beans, mixed dried fruits, and mango-flavored pulp balls. I didn’t have to choose any fruit. That day, it was watermelon and mango. Finally, it is sprinkled with white sesame seeds and topped with shaved ice.
My overall feeling after eating it is that the presence of the ice powder is too low, and there are very few fruits, which is a pity. The tastes of the various ingredients do not match each other, and the tastes feel independent of each other.
📍Double-flavored snowflake ice + fresh fruit NT$90
🌕🌕🌕🌗🌑
My friend ordered matcha and milk flavor. Mango gives a lot! I think milk ice tastes very rich and very refreshing! The portion size is also quite sufficient! It’s a pity that if you eat it all night, you’ll feel like it’s too much. It’s too sweet and it’ll be very burdensome haha😆
▶️ Environment
🔹There are not many seats inside, there is a row of single seats, tables and chairs (about 4 to 6 people), and 1 table for four
🔹The wall is covered with various pictures and menus
▶️ Overall evaluation
🔹 The boss is an uncle and very polite. They will also explain carefully what ingredients are available. I think the ice cream is pretty good and I wouldn’t particularly eat it again. Overall, I feel that this store sells various drinks, ice products and beef noodles, which feels a bit inconsistent.
