❤️ The Shennong Herbal Drink Shop has been around for over 40 years. Every time I come to Taitung, I bring friends to enjoy a drink (or bottle). Each post includes actual dining photos, even if it's just a photo of a drink, to avoid some users faking their dining experience without food pictures. Overall rating: 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑

📍 Located on Boai Road in downtown Taitung, right beside the Taitung Night Market. There are no seating available and no restrooms provided.
🚗 If driving, it's recommended to park in the temporary parking spots on Nanjing Road, where there are plenty of spaces.
🏍️ I've noticed most people park their scooters right in front of the store.

💬 Shennong Herbal Drink truly is a beverage I have every time I visit Taitung; I usually order a large can of liver-cleansing tea. Whenever I bring friends, they think the bitterness means it's beneficial. However, there is often a line outside to buy tea, especially in the summer when you'll need some patience to wait your turn.

If you're not too keen on drinking the herbal or liver-cleansing tea, there are other sweet drinks (chrysanthemum tea, goji berry tea, mung bean and job's tears, etc.) available as well.

The staff will also explain that the liver-cleansing tea is quite bitter, and if you’re hesitant, you can mix it with herbal tea. The price will be the average of both drinks, and you can adjust the ratio of liver-cleansing to herbal tea. Overall, the service attitude is also very good.
