After the soup base comes up, you must drink the soup first!
The pepper pork bone hot pot soup base is thick and aromatic, but it seems a bit different from what I imagined (I originally thought the pepper would be very strong and slightly spicy). I don't really feel a distinctly strong pepper taste (or am I just used to eating too spicy food?). Overall, the soup is very pleasant to drink; friends who are afraid of spicy but want to try the pepper pork bone pot should definitely order this!
(The photo was taken just when the soup started boiling, but it looks a bit strange? It really is delicious: I got so focused on eating that I forgot to take more pictures, how silly of me.)
When the black garlic chicken soup arrived, I understood why this is a popular recommendation.
As soon as it was served, the aroma of the garlic chicken soup hit me, and I secretly took several sips of the soup.
I really liked the vegetable platter when it was served because there were no hot pot ingredients!
(Although I like hot pot, I don’t like hot pot ingredients, so if a hot pot restaurant offered a menu where you could swap hot pot ingredients for vegetables, I would definitely give them a lot of points in my heart! But the vegetable platter at Wanderer Hot Pot had no hot pot ingredients at all! Super awesome~)
Every type of vegetable cooked up very fresh and sweet; I was originally worried that the corn might be hard and get stuck in my teeth (but there was no such problem at all!) I wanted to ask the owner where they bought these vegetables.
The clams were instantly delicious; the freshness and the sweetness of the clam meat! These clams are really fresh (as kids living by the sea who eat seafood often, we can tell right away if the seafood is fresh!);
The chicken had a bit of seasoning to it?
After cooking it in the soup base, it doesn't become tough and hard to chew (I usually forget to take out other types of meat when cooking beef).
You can eat it directly without sauce, and it's delicious~ The meat is very tender and completely without any taste!
(Recently, I haven’t been too keen on eating chicken because I always feel it has a very noticeable taste that affects my appetite; I've even stopped eating the original boneless chicken thighs I bought from Costco lately. But the chicken at Wanderer Hot Pot is really delicious! It really opened up my appetite.)
The beef was also very tender (at one point, I thought it might dissolve in the mouth!).
After putting it in the pot, just a few seconds later, I could send it straight to my mouth~ (I shared a slice with my family, and they widened their eyes and said the beef is good!)
Recently, my appetite has been quite small,
But today, I actually ate a whole portion of hot pot by myself (finished all the main and side dishes) + a free chicken thigh from a promotion (it’s really the same portion as the main dish!) plus a serving of clams + a drink + ice cream (I was even shocked myself at how much I ate today).
Afterward, I discussed with my family, and they all felt the vegetables were fresh, the meat was very good, and the soup base was really well-prepared!
My grandmother remembered the ice cream the most (that's really funny).
Now there’s another hot pot restaurant I can regularly visit! I don’t have to worry about dining alone; I can sit at the bar!
You can also participate in the loyalty points program at the Wanderer Hot Pot: after accumulating points with today’s purchase, I immediately received a complimentary serving of beef or marbled pork, and in a few weeks, I should be able to return again~
