Right across from Hsinchu Train Station, there are parking lots for cars and motorcycles nearby, making it very convenient for transportation. To get to the fourth floor, take the elevator next to the two meals.
Once you exit the elevator, you'll be in the restaurant. It was fully booked on Sunday noon, so I suggest making a reservation as there might not be available seats, and you could end up sharing a table with others.
The space inside is larger than I imagined. I was seated at a big wooden table by the window with great lighting. 👍 The downside is that the distance between the table and chairs is a bit far, making dining a bit inconvenient. Also, the chairs are back-to-back with the next table, with just a small 5 cm platform in between. Someone from the neighboring table placed an unused wooden tray on that platform. 😡 There seemed to be a shortage of staff, as we had to wait for ordering and serving. No one came to tidy up those wooden trays, which affected the dining experience a bit.
They offer free-flow hot tea and specialty drinks.
Burnt Pork Belly $380
In addition to the main dish, there are six compartments of side dishes, along with yogurt. The portions are generous and abundant. The meat is seasoned with a sweet and savory flavor (honey sauce).
Classic Caramel Basque Cheesecake $160
Add a scoop of ice cream for +$60. The ice cream is Haagen-Dazs but depends on the flavor of the day. It’s drizzled with caramel sauce on top (✪ω✪). The Basque is on the dry side, and the cheese flavor is quite noticeable.
Classic Sea Salt Fries $120
Served with ketchup. The fries were not very good—neither crispy nor moist. QAQ
The main dish performed well, but today's fries and sweetness were quite disappointing. It's worth coming just for the main course. If you're only looking for snacks or afternoon tea, there are better options available.
