Today, I'm going to introduce a restaurant hidden in the Jiaoxi valley - The Valley Kitchen.

The environment is tranquil, with a small courtyard that's perfect for taking photos; the cuisine leans towards light European style, with portions and presentations that are quite delicate. I guarantee you'll want to take a photo of your meal, whether it's for a birthday celebration or just a fancy dinner—this place is a great alternative to your usual high-end dining spot!

(For a summary, feel free to scroll to the reminders)

Environment, Service, and Dishes

Located on the edge of the valley, it features a courtyard, grassy areas, plant walls, and photo-worthy corners. The overall atmosphere is relaxing and visually soothing, making it suitable for family or friends gatherings and for taking pictures.

There is parking available outside the restaurant. Although it is pet-friendly, it's recommended to inquire about specific seating policies in advance.

The menu primarily focuses on pasta, risotto, salads, and some creative dishes and desserts (based on daily offerings). The overall price range is moderate to slightly high (most main dishes are around $300–$400), with soups and steaks being limited or requiring reservations for the day. The overall seasoning is refined and not overly greasy, emphasizing layers of flavor.

After my visit, I personally recommend a few items.

Tartare Salmon Potato Pie - Highly recommended: the potatoes are creamy, and the flavor layers of salmon and tartare sauce are distinct, creating a delightful taste and texture.
(To be blunt: super delicious 🤤)

Steak - One of the real highlights: the meat is tender and almost melts in your mouth, requiring little effort to cut. However, this dish is limited and needs to be reserved in advance; be sure to book to enjoy it.

If you’re looking for a Jiaoxi restaurant where you can "relax and enjoy mountain views while dining on exquisite cuisine," The Valley Kitchen is definitely worth a visit.
