❤️ Arriving at Huaxi Street Night Market, you definitely have to try the oyster lu rou rice from A Yi. Just looking at the photos will irresistibly draw you in…

🚗 This is Wanhua Mengjia Night Market, and you can park at the Longshan Temple underground parking lot. There are plenty of spaces, but you might have to wait a bit for a spot. There’s also parking around the outside of the night market for scooters, and I saw some people riding directly into the market. It's also walkable from Longshan Temple MRT station.

💬 As someone who enjoys unusual foods, I was instantly attracted when I saw this photo outside. This oyster lu rou rice has even won awards at the lu rou rice festival. This is a thirty-year-old old shop; although there are quite a few seats inside, I still had to wait a bit when I went. The service was super quick and very efficient, and the overall service was very friendly. (If you don't like oysters, you can also order the regular lu rou rice!)

🍚 Oyster Braised Pork Rice $140 This oyster braised pork rice perfectly combines the flavors of seafood and braised pork. I originally thought that seafood and braised pork wouldn’t go well together, possibly because the braised pork is somewhat sweet, but surprisingly, when mixed with the seafood flavors, it actually works. (I don't know why everyone says not to mix them together?) The fresh oysters are also great; I personally think the fishy taste isn’t strong, and with the addition of green onions, it makes for a really delicious braised pork rice. The only downside is that it's too... expensive.

I was initially drawn in by this photo.
