I went with my colleague to eat at a Northern Thai restaurant he recommended. The place is an unassuming shop on the roadside, but once inside, I found the environment to be spacious and clean. My colleague mentioned that it seems to have been renovated; the last time he visited, although the seating was indoors, it was decorated like a street stall. Now, it has transformed into a beautiful restaurant, complete with indoor air conditioning, making it very comfortable to dine in during the hot midday.
The menu offers a wide variety of dishes, and it contains pretty much every Thai dish you can think of, all at quite reasonable prices, so you can order freely. When there are many people dining, the service is quick, so there aren't many photos of the dishes, but I tried to give everyone some reference.
The dishes have a home-cooked feel to them. Although each dish may not be exceptionally delicious, they all maintain a certain level of quality that caters to everyone’s taste, so there’s no need to worry about having a bad meal. Detailed descriptions of the dishes can be found in the pictures. The staff's attitude was very good, and overall, the dining experience was quite pleasant. 👍
Perhaps it was due to being a weekday lunchtime, as the customers only filled about a third of the indoor seating. However, looking at the wall filled with signatures, it seems that this place must be popular on weekends or in the evenings! I would definitely return to this affordable restaurant. If you're in Chiang Mai and don't know what to eat, why not try Lemongrass?
