I don't drink hand-shaken drinks very often; usually, it's because a friend recommends it or it's a convenient time to buy. I remember this place was quite popular when it first opened. I learned from a friend that it's a drink from the Classical Rose Garden brand, and the decor of the store is very classical and beautiful. I ordered something I was interested in trying.
▪️Glutinous Oolong $35 + Mochi $12, no ice, no sugar
The oolong tea is unsweetened but not bitter, not the deep kind. Compared to the one I had before, it's still slightly bland. The name "glutinous" comes from the subtle glutinous rice fragrance, but personally, I think it’s not very obvious. I also added mochi, which I heard of for the first time; as the name suggests, it’s mochi + powdery dough. It indeed does not have the softness of traditional mochi but has a unique texture without being as chewy as the powdery dough. I quite liked it.
▪️Lemon Summer Iced Tea Rose $65, no sugar, lightly iced
This is what my friend ordered, and it's quite tasty. The rose flavor is subtle and doesn’t have a strong artificial fragrance (I personally am not very fond of floral flavors in food).
Overall, this mochi is very special, but I felt a bit indifferent towards the other drinks since I’m not particularly fond of floral teas.
