Mida Ren, a classic Japanese cuisine - rice balls.
It uses Taitung rice, not Japanese sushi rice, and the rice balls are so plump that one is equivalent to two from convenience stores! Pricing is also within a reasonable range.
Although there are oden, I used to just buy rice balls to eat… ^_^
Dishes:
Yam sushi, made with Japanese-imported yam, has a creamy texture… According to what I’ve heard, it doesn’t have a specific flavor, but personally, I think it tastes like fish (?).
Ume shiso sushi, I love that sweet and sour flavor, and the aroma has the scent of white rice along with a faint hint of shiso plum, which suits my taste perfectly. However, after consuming most of it, I could only eat a little more of the others…
Thick tamago sushi, the sweetness of the egg itself is not very sweet, less so than that from Zengxian and Japanese stalls. Eating it with rice makes me want to add soy sauce and enjoy it with tea…
Corn sushi, the mayonnaise on top combined with cucumber, nuts, and corn gives it a good grainy texture, enhanced further with sweet bean curd skin, making it delicious. (Does the corn sushi at this Banqiao station outlet have less filling?)
Flower sushi, um, didn’t eat it, skipped.
Bomb fish rice ball, I initially wanted to eat it, but later gave it up for a friend QQ.
Environment:
Located under the escalator at Banqiao station, it’s very convenient for people in a hurry to grab and go. But… after taking a stroll around, I still prefer to take it out. ^_^
Service:
Very good, cute, and friendly.
Review:
Mida Ren's rice is deliciously cooked, irrespective of which branch you visit, and they are very filling. The food ingredients are also quite good, making it perfect for those who are in a hurry and don’t have time for a proper meal during work hours.
