I happened to take a long journey on the national highway again, and this time I stopped at the Qing Shui Service Area in Taichung. This station has recently been renovated, so it looks new and beautiful, and there are some differences in the stores compared to before, making it quite worth a visit.
The first floor mainly sells some souvenir shops and desserts. This time I was mainly there to take a break, so I didn’t go to the food area for a meal, but rather looked around on the first floor to see what tempting desserts there were to try.
After some indecision and contemplation, I finally chose to buy a famous Japanese cream puff from Beard Papa's, which I had eaten at other shops before, in vanilla custard flavor.
In previous visits to other locations, the cream puffs were freshly made and very delicious, but this time it didn't seem fresh because the pastry was not very crispy. Compared to last time, it was a bit disappointing, but freshly made ones are really tasty, so I do recommend them.
Additionally, it seems the shop regularly offers limited edition products; this time it was a strawberry series, but I didn’t try that.
There’s no comment yet.
