Let’s talk about the shortcomings first: The ordering model of Yukiya has always been to seat you first and then press the bell to order. This model is not bad, but it is also used when the store is short of staff (such as during peak hours or when there are large takeout orders). ), it is easy for disadvantages to occur. My own experience is fine. Usually someone will come to help order food soon after ringing the bell. However, I have also encountered people who waited for a long time after ringing the bell for the second time. In addition, it is ridiculous that a Japanese chain restaurant can only pay in cash. Even Matsuya, which came to Taiwan late to open its store, already supports mobile payment and fully automatic ordering. Sukiya really needs to work harder in this regard.
Let’s get to the point, aside from other things, among the three major Japanese gyudon restaurant chains in Taiwan, Sukiya should still have the highest CP value, and the taste is also my favorite.
I usually order beef bowl dishes, which can be paired with okra, kimchi, cheese or limited-time flavors according to personal preference. The set meal can be paired with vegetables, chicken tagine or croquettes. There is a lot of beef in Gyudon, and the seasoning of the meat is also satisfactory. It is difficult to describe. I can only say that there is a feeling of "ah, the beef in Gyudon should taste like this". It is cooked with the beef in the middle. The onion absorbs the full flavor of the beef, and when you bite it, your mouth is full of freshness and sweetness, which is the best decoration.
I don’t order the kimchi from Koki’s house very often, but last time I saw two Koreans next door eating their kimchi with bright eyes. After I secretly translated it using real-time translation software, I found that they were actually discussing how good the kimchi was. Like🤯, so I decided to try it again this time...but the conclusion is: I am not Korean😅
The miso soup in the set meal is mediocre in my opinion, but the greens and croquettes are pretty good... As for the chicken karaage, I think you don't need to eat it here.
Recommended meals: beef bowl, okra beef bowl, cheese beef bowl, beef curry rice.
