On a weekday, we arrived after six on Monday evening. As soon as we entered, there were some seats available, but the owner said that the "sour and spicy series" and "chive pockets" were sold out. After we placed our order, more customers came in, and the owner added that "pan-fried dumplings" were also sold out. The business really seemed to be booming! 🤣🤣
Looking at the menu, the prices seemed normal. This time, I ordered beef noodles (thin noodles), beef pies, 10 chive and shrimp potstickers, black soybeans, and braised eggs with a friend. Initially, we wanted to order some blanched vegetables, but the restaurant's blanched vegetables were cabbage (which was already in the beef noodles), so we decided not to order them. 🤣
Beef noodles: The broth had a strong herbal flavor. It was smooth to drink, and there wasn't much chili oil floating on top. The pieces of beef were of moderate size, but they were a bit dry and tough. Overall, I found the bowl to be average; it didn't stand out particularly well. 🤣
Chive and shrimp potstickers: The outer skin was very crispy! You could also taste whole pieces of shrimp inside. I think this is a must-order when you come here. They were quite delicious!
Beef pies: I forgot to take a photo at the time. The beef pies took quite a while to wait for; they were the last item of the night. 🤣 Priced at $40, they were quite large. The beef flavor was very strong, and there was a lot of filling. The filling didn’t really squirt juice, but it was still quite good overall.
Side dishes: The side dishes were just the usual flavors we often encounter. 🤣
