Feel free to walk into a beautiful semi-outdoor restaurant in Sky City! The proprietress was very pretty and very kind. After asking us where we were from, she also gave us a 2024 calendar with a photo of Bailu Riggio.
We arrived at Bagnoregio near noon, known as the "City in the Sky". It is said to be the origin of Hayao Miyazaki's idea of City in the Sky. We decided to have lunch here and saw a restaurant that looked pretty good. I saw that there seemed to be pistachio-related pasta on the menu, which was so tempting!
Pistachio Pasta €14
The whole plate of noodles looks dark green in color from pistachios. The noodles are chewy and elastic. The thickness and texture are a bit like Japanese soba noodles. I love the softness and hardness!
When you smell it close to your nose, you can smell the full aroma of pistachios. It is also sprinkled with pistachio crumbs. The sauce is very dry and not too salty. People who like pistachios will probably like this dish.
Chili Tomato Pasta €13
The tomato flavor hit my nostrils as soon as it was served, and it was a raw tomato flavor. I am a person who is afraid of tomatoes, so I thought I would not like this dish, but after taking a bite, I found that it is delicious and tastes like It's slightly spicy, and I personally think the chili pepper is a plus. The spiciness of the chili pepper combined with the sweet and sour taste of the tomatoes turns into a delicious plate of red sauce pasta~
The small drawback is that the portions are small and the meal preparation takes a long time. I don’t know if it’s because I happened to meet a large group of tourists brought by travel agencies (the kind that almost reserved the venue), and the chefs were busy making them and they had already booked it. After ordering the meal, we actually had to wait 40 minutes before our meal was served... So we missed the bus we were supposed to take 😂
ps I heard from the proprietress that the travel agency we dined with was from Galilee and has been cooperating with this restaurant for more than ten years.
Overall, I think the atmosphere of this restaurant is very good. If the weather is good, it is a great pleasure to sit inside and eat. The meals are also quite delicious and not too expensive. If you are traveling to Bellario, Recommended to dine here
