Cute little shop in Taoyuan Zhonglu Special District
This meal:
Indian fruit-scented curry sous-vide chicken $290
I initially thought that a Japanese-themed small shop would lean towards a sweet curry, but unexpectedly, it was filled with aromatic spices. The curry was quite good 👍 The sous-vide chicken was more standard; perhaps because the chicken was thinner compared to the sous-vide chicken in many other restaurants, it didn't quite showcase the tenderness expected from sous-vide chicken. The meal came with a small salad 🥗.
Caramel egg pudding $120
The pudding overall was average. I personally prefer a denser pudding texture and enjoy a bit more bitterness in the caramel. The whipped cream on the pudding was on the less sweet side, which just didn't match my taste.
Since I've seen many shares about cakes and desserts from nearby shops, but this time, since I dined during lunchtime, I didn’t have extra stomach space to try more desserts and cakes. If I visit again, I hope to bring friends for afternoon tea to enjoy desserts and chat.
The shop has a minimum consumption requirement of one meal or one drink, so it may not be possible to order just a cake. Most of the seating is on the second floor (there's one table on the first floor). Orders need to be placed at the counter on the first floor for ordering and checkout.
