Every time I look at this duck rice restaurant from a distance and don't come in to buy it, because it's always crowded during meal time, and I also think about trying it out when it's less crowded.
Today I finally had time to try something new. I ordered a duck bento and a hot vegetable to supplement the vegetables that people who eat out are so lacking.
The duck bento (80 yuan) has three side dishes (not optional) and the rice is topped with gravy, duck meat (minced meat), a piece of tofu and a few dried bamboo shoots (there should be five side dishes in total). The smoky flavor of the duck meat was present, but it didn't taste salty enough and was a bit bland. The side dishes tasted quite average, not particularly delicious, but not unpalatable either.
Blanched vegetables (40 yuan), the vegetables you can choose are different every day, they all use seasonal vegetables, but to be honest, I think 40 yuan is a bit expensive for the portion, and the taste is very homely.
Perhaps because the price is affordable and the taste is not bad, it is always crowded. If you pass by, you may come to taste it, but you may not come here specifically to eat!
