阿宏牛肉麵
Every time I find something delicious in Shenkang, I get particularly excited. Although I am a local resident of Shenkang, I really have to complain about how it resembles a food desert; previously, someone even voted Shenkang as the most boring city in Taichung. 🤣 This time, I was curious after seeing people queuing outside when I drove by, especially since the noodle stall outside looked simple and tidy!
This time, we dined in and had to fill out our order ourselves before handing it to the owner. (I must mention that there’s a whole row of water bottles and cups available for purchase at the entrance; the owner really knows how to do business! If anyone is interested, feel free to check it out.)
Back to the main topic, the seating area is quite spacious and clean. Before leaving, you have to take the tissue from the table to the entrance to dispose of it (the store posted signs indicating this is for preventing disease transmission and other health-related reasons, which I think is fantastic and shows how seriously the owner takes hygiene and the environment).

If you like spicy food, you can help yourself to the sauces from the sauce area. The meal was quite good, and I must say the price-performance ratio is extremely high. In other places, this hearty beef soup loaded with ingredients should be at least $120, and budget-conscious diners will definitely love it.
I really enjoy a strong-flavored beef soup, and the vegetables inside have their natural sweetness. The beef is also braised to perfection, so I highly recommend this bowl! The spring noodles are enjoyable with just a bit of spicy sauce, and the braised dishes were predictably tasty.
After finishing this meal, I immediately told the owner I wanted to take two bags of beef soup home to cook; it was truly a great value. 😚
During the weekdays, there was never a break in customers coming for takeout in front of the store. One left, and another came in; it seems this place is beloved by the local residents. If you have the chance to visit Shenkang or pass by, feel free to come by for a bowl of beef noodles before heading out!
