Although this is a breakfast shop, we arrived at "Miss Qin's Soy Milk Shop" for a meal around noon, and there were still quite a few people in line. This time, we ordered savory soy milk with egg, double egg pancake, radish shreds flaky pastry, and iced soy milk.
🥣 Savory Soy Milk with Egg - $55
This classic Chinese breakfast dish, "savory soy milk with egg," is not overly salty and combines perfectly with the egg. Paired with crispy fried dough sticks, it tastes really great, highly recommended. The only downside is that the fried dough sticks here are broken, while I personally prefer whole sticks, as they provide a better texture.
🥚 Double Egg Pancake - $50
The egg pancake skin here is relatively thick and very chewy. The method used for the double egg is quite special, with the egg distributed on both sides of the pancake skin rather than being wrapped inside. The sauce has a fermented bean flavor, similar to miso or doubanjiang (not spicy doubanjiang). The thick pancake skin gives this dish a satisfying fullness. Overall, the flavor is not greasy or overly salty, worthy of recommendation.
🥟 Radish Shreds Flaky Pastry - $17
This flaky pastry is really quite small, as can be seen in the photo with the bamboo chopsticks for scale. However, it tastes quite good; the pastry skin is crispy and aromatic. The only drawback is that the pastry skin is slightly oily, and the radish shreds inside are a bit salty. Though small, it is recommended to enjoy it with a drink.
🥤 Iced Soy Milk - $30
This classic breakfast shop soy milk is very rich but slightly sweet. The price of 30 NT dollars for this size of soy milk is reasonable.
📝 Overall Evaluation
Overall, the meals at Miss Qin's Soy Milk Shop are quite tasty and reasonably priced, especially recommending the savory soy milk with egg and the double egg pancake. However, the dining space is a bit messy, possibly due to the self-service recycling requirement, and it's not very spacious. This shop is a good choice for a meal when passing by, but it may not be worth a special trip to dine here.
