In the center of Taitung City, there are quite a few breakfast shops selling pan-fried buns, and Xiaopang is one of those well-known by word of mouth. However, if you want to eat there, it's recommended to make a reservation in advance. When I arrived around 8 o'clock this time, they were already sold out, leaving only drinks and scallion pancakes.
The scallion pancakes are of the drier type, not soggy or fluffy, and are sprinkled with pepper powder on top, making them feel more substantial. The flavor is more similar to northern-style scallion pancakes.
For drinks, there are options like soybean milk, black tea, and mixed grain milk. The soybean milk is freshly made and can be ordered unsweetened.
The dining space inside the shop is not large, but it's still possible to eat there. However, you should be mentally prepared, as the indoor oil smoke smell is quite strong, so your hair and clothes will carry the smell after eating.
