Located in the center of Beipu Old Street, "Ding Hao Snack" has an excellent location, bustling with activity, and the quaint little shops intertwine with tourist crowds, creating a strong Hakka atmosphere. This time, the usual place had a long line, so I decided to try this one instead.

"Dried Noodles with Pickled Vegetable and Shredded Pork ($70)"
They used Hakka oil noodles, which are quite standard overall. The ratio of pickled vegetables to shredded pork is good, but the flavor is acceptable but not impressive to me.

"Dry Wonton Noodles ($85)"
The noodles are Q (chewy) and smooth, with a rich soy sauce flavor, and the wontons are packed solidly. Although I personally prefer fried noodles, this bowl of dry noodles is still of high quality.

"Pork Ball Soup ($40)"
The pork balls are delicious, being from Hsinchu's pork ball boundary (pork balls from anywhere else in Taiwan tend to lose their taste). They are firm and juicy, and the soup has added celery and cilantro to enhance the flavor!

"Braised Pork Rice ($40)"
This is a Hakka-style minced pork rice, mainly composed of lean meat. The sauce color isn't deep but has a strong garlic aroma. Garlic lovers might want to order this.

"Blanched Greens"
Chinese broccoli, simply drizzled with braising sauce and a bit of minced pork.

"Taiwanese Pickled Vegetables"
Slightly sour, typical Taiwanese pickled vegetables.

"Boneless Oily Chicken"
The texture is tender, but the portion is slightly small and cut into smaller pieces, leaving me a bit unsatisfied.

Overall, "Ding Hao Snack" is a good pit stop to try when you’re tired walking around Beipu Old Street.

【Foodholic乃子@新竹】 「福臨飯店」位於新竹關西鎮上,我們一群人在找關西的合菜餐廳就找到這家,雖然名字叫做飯店,但其實看起來就是很傳統的合菜餐廳 星期六晚上6:30店內幾乎是滿座,老闆及店員態度都還蠻親切的,但我們到現場後才開始擺椅子,所以我們站著等了一陣子 除了白斬土雞和紅燒豬腳需要事先預訂,其他餐點都可以現場點 先說結論:大部分餐點的份量都不大,味道也普普通通,如果附近有其他合菜餐廳,大機率不會回訪 白斬土雞 可以沾桔醬吃,味道還不錯,但份量真的太少了,我們點了最大份的(1/2雞)居然要700塊左右,非常嚇人的價格 紅燒豬腳 豬腳肉和皮真的很軟嫩,可說是入口即化,肉質部分一百分,不過吃不到幾口肉,大部分是骨頭,吃起來挺不滿足的 炸蚵仔酥 外觀和常看到的蚵仔酥不一樣,大顆很多,外皮炸得滿酥的,蚵仔個頭真的挺大,不過不知道是不是胡椒鹽灑太多,偏鹹,需要配飯 客家鹹豬肉 這道我只吃一口就不想吃了,太鹹了啦~~~這個沒有配飯吃不下去耶,也會很想喝飲料,調味不合我的口味 梅干扣肉 豬肉好少塊,我們9人甚至吃不到一人一塊,幾乎都是梅干菜在撐場面,但梅干菜又沒什麼味道,也不足以拿來配飯,挺失望的一道 客家燜筍 筍子味道不錯,算是今天少數被稱讚的餐點,這道可以點 紅燒豆腐 這道應該是少數分量足夠的餐點,豆腐給很多塊,吃起來類似板豆腐的口感,味道還不錯,我大概吃了3-4塊 高麗菜 調味好吃,但是也是偏油,吃了一口就需要擦嘴巴 仙草烏骨雞湯 雞湯帶有仙草香氣,但因為我個人沒有很愛仙草,所以就覺得是個潤喉的雞湯,沒特別感覺;雞肉肉質則是偏柴,不是很好吃

【Foodholic乃子@桃園】 「老頭擺客家菜」有不只一家分店,我們今天來用餐的分店位於桃園龍潭、三坑老街附近,因為名字很特殊,就去查了一下,發現「頭擺」在客家話裡,是代表「古早」的意思,「老頭擺」表示很早很早以前 店內的裝潢也真的體現了這個店名,名副其實,戶外是很像三合院的建築,就像在阿嬤老家院子吃飯的感覺,室內則是非常傳統的台灣木頭建築風格,一間一間的就是家裡頭的每個區塊,也自然形成了小包廂,挺喜歡的 客家小炒$240 我平常是不愛客家小炒的,但今天吃到這道很喜歡,豬肉選用部位肥瘦均勻,豆干不會像平常吃到的乾硬,跟豬肉一起炒,兩者都很入味,但不會過鹹 炒山豬肉$280 味道調味也不錯,但是山豬肉有點小片,要一直在盤子裡翻找才能找到,更想吃到大片的豬肉~ 薑絲大腸$240 大腸也是有點小,不過清理得很乾淨,酸度調得也剛好,不會太酸,但又足夠多巴幾口飯 清炒水連$210 這道我就沒有很喜歡了,因為加了薑一起下去炒,我實在不愛薑,所以還要一邊挑薑,吃起來不過癮 鳳梨蝦球$230 大約有9顆蝦球,炸得普普通通,吃起來就中規中矩,不是令人心曠神怡的鳳梨蝦球(有這種用法嗎XD) 糖醋排骨$240 糖醋比較偏甜,酸味不是很夠,排骨的部分肉很多(不會都是骨頭),但是肉質吃起來偏硬,咬起來有點費力 九層塔蛋$150 蛋煎得油香,配上九層塔的香氣,很下飯,這道我很喜歡 土雞剁盤(大)$570 真的蠻大一盤的,醬汁是由桔醬調醬油和辣椒,吃起來微辣,沾著吃挺不錯,土雞沒有奇怪腥味,給過 客家燜筍$150 就是燜筍,不過是好吃的,筍子脆度也在,好吃 梅干扣肉$240 豬肉的瘦肥度均勻,梅干菜相當入味,配在一起吃是絕配,用梅干菜配飯吃,也可以足足吃掉半碗,這道推 蘿蔔排骨湯$230 本來想說價格這麼便宜會不會份量不大,結果超大一鍋,蘿蔔也給很多,湯好喝,我喝了兩碗~
