First, let me emphasize that this review is only about their herbal grass sweet tea, as I didn’t order anything else.
I happened to pass by "Shan Fen Sweet Tea House" on Guanghua Street. Seeing that it offers both food and drinks and has quite a few high ratings, I decided to go in and give it a try. I ordered their signature herbal grass sweet tea to see if this kind of mixed operation really has something special. Surprisingly, it tasted quite good—the sweetness was just right, and the herbal grass flavor was strong enough, easily comparable to the "Yan Tai Cooked Milk Tea" next door. However, considering just the drinks, it does not differ much from stores that specialize in beverages.
The interior environment is clean and bright, with a wide variety on the menu, including cabbage and Chinese toon dumplings, and baked rice with Italian meat sauce. However, I was already full that day, and seeing dumplings, baked dishes, and drinks all at once made me a bit hesitant about trying too many different things. I'll have to come back another time to try more.
Overall, as a vegetarian tea house selling light snacks and drinks, this place performed better than I expected in terms of its beverages.
