Having worked in Shenkeng for several years, I can honestly say that there really isn’t anything good to eat around here. This restaurant is one of the few that is delicious, so it is very popular. It is absolutely full at noon.
The most popular item in the store is the dried chili noodles. My colleagues all like to order this dish, but I don’t dare to eat spicy food, so I can’t appreciate the charm.
I most often order dry wonton noodles, which is dry pork noodles with wontons. I think sometimes the noodles are not drained enough, which dilutes the salty aroma of the dried pork. But I quite like wontons because you can eat freshly minced meat. Fragrant and sweet.
The black and white cut is also a popular item. I like the pink liver the most, it is smooth and tender. If you dare to eat offal, you must order it! The soy sauce cake dipped in sauce is on the sweet side, and when mixed with mustard it tastes sweet and spicy, very appetizing!
I ordered the soup once or twice, but I thought the soup tasted soulless, like hot water with a little salt, so I stopped ordering soup after that.
A final reminder, the noodles here are very hot! Even 10 minutes after serving, it was still too hot to eat, so be careful!
