Located next to Sanmin Tennis Court, Wuli Island is a café that skillfully combines spatial ambiance with drinks and desserts. The overall design concept is inspired by the "four seasons," with the interior space divided into four areas representing spring, summer, autumn, and winter. Each area has its own unique color scheme and decor—gentle hues for spring, bright colors for summer, warm tones for autumn, and a serene atmosphere for winter. ❄️

I visited on a weekday afternoon when there weren't many customers, and the lighting was just right. The entire café felt like a quiet island where time flowed slowly.

Salty Cream Topped Apple Tea
Apple tea and salty cream should each have their own charm—the former is fragrant and sweet, while the latter is rich and salty. Unfortunately, the combination felt somewhat discordant. The balance between the apple tea’s sweet and sour flavors and the salty cream did not merge into a new layer, but instead created a somewhat split taste experience. The cream was finely textured, with well-controlled saltiness; paired with roasted tea or black tea, it might have been superior. Overall, it wasn't bad to drink, but the creativity had outpaced the taste buds' acceptance. 🍎

Pearl Croissant
The flaky croissant dough is flattened and baked to make the outer layer crispier and the inside firmer. When served, it exudes an enticing aroma, with a golden surface and slightly caramelized crisp edges. Topped with warm pearls that are chewy but not sticky, the sweetness is perfectly balanced. The buttery scent of the croissant complements the brown sugar flavor of the pearls, achieving sweetness without being overwhelming. Although I initially didn’t understand "why flatten the croissant," all my questions were resolved the moment I took a bite and experienced the crispness. This dessert is undoubtedly a highlight of Wuli Island!

Atmosphere and Overall Experience
The charm of Wuli Island goes beyond the food; it lies in the overall atmosphere. Large floor-to-ceiling windows allow the afternoon light to flood in, while the walls are adorned with seasonal-themed decorations. The spacing between tables and chairs is generous, making it a comfortable place to work on a laptop or simply daydream. The staff is friendly yet unobtrusive, and the overall rhythm is slow, imparting a sense of "stepping away from the city."

In terms of environment, Wuli Island is nearly flawless—it offers a corner where one can calm down and breathe. Even if the salty cream topped apple tea felt slightly out of place, the pearl croissant is the kind of dessert that makes one willing to return for another visit. Next time I come, I would like to choose a seat in the winter area and try a different tea; perhaps then the entire afternoon’s rhythm will be just right.
