During the weekend, I drove from Jiading, Shanghai to visit Nanxiang Ancient Town. (It takes about an hour if you come from Shanghai city)
Nanxiang Xiaolongbao is also a very famous Xiaolongbao in Shanghai. Among them, the most famous one in Nanxiang is Changxinglou.
Changxinglou has been opened in the local area for more than a hundred years and is a century-old store.
There is a long queue for meals, and I travel during off-peak hours
Go in and you'll have a seat!
In addition to Xiao Long Bao, there are also many noodles and soups (such as braised beef noodles and vermicelli soup), but today I only tasted the Xiao Long Bao portion.
¥35
Nanxiang Xiaolongbao 15 pieces per cage
When it was served, it was hot and steaming. It was freshly steamed.
It is not popular in Mainland China to dip small steamed buns in soy sauce but vinegar.
Although this kind of dipping sauce is not salty, it is also very fresh.
The skin of the xiaolongbao is not thick, so you can break it with one bite, and the soup will flow onto the spoon. Carefully suck out the soup from the window (be careful not to get burned), and then take a bite.
The meat flavor is pretty good
Overall, highly recommended.
Friends who come to Shanghai to travel can come and try it (better than the one in Shanghai City God Temple...)
