🍱 Nanasen Oita Airport Shop
📍 13 Shimohara, Aki Town, Kunisaki City, Oita Prefecture (inside Oita Airport)
⏰ Business hours: 10:00–19:30
On the last day of our trip at Oita Airport, with some time before boarding, we decided to eat at this restaurant where we can see planes taking off and landing✈️. The place specializes in Oita's local cuisine and Japanese set meals. The space is spacious with good lighting, and the atmosphere is more comfortable than expected.
We ordered the following dishes👇
🐔 Toriten Set ¥1,280
🐔 Toriten Nanban Set (fried chicken with tartar sauce) ¥1,380
🐷 Katsu Don ¥1,380
🧊 Tempura Zaru Soba ¥1,380
🥃 Suntory Highball ¥580
Highly recommend the fried chicken, whether original flavor or with tartar sauce, both are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, paired nicely with the sauce. The side dishes were also thoughtfully prepared. The tempura and soba were average, not bad but also not memorable.
The only disappointment was the bowl of pork cutlet. The pork was dry and lacked flavor in the sauce, making it quite unpleasant to finish😮💨. The drink was also not good, with a bland and somewhat strange taste.
Total was ¥6,000 paid in cash, with no service charge. While not every dish was tasty, sitting there eating while watching planes was still quite pleasant~🛫
