🥢 During meal time at Hakata Station, I casually found this beef tongue specialty shop. The environment is nice, and the food comes out quickly, but I was a bit disappointed overall this time.
👅 The thick-cut beef tongue wasn't as thick as I imagined, it was a bit dry and lacked the expected chewy texture. I left the bowl of yam puree untouched because I really can't get used to that slippery, gooey texture.
🫣 I ordered some famous Hakata mentaiko (spicy cod roe) thinking I should try it since I was in Fukuoka, but… well… the salty and fishy flavors were a bit overwhelming, so I just quietly finished my white rice to cancel it out.
🍋 To be honest, the lemon beef tongue I had last time in Osaka was way better. At least that had thickness and a refreshing seasoning, while this place was just… okay to eat.
📱 Ordering on the tablet was convenient, there were many payment options, the restaurant was clean, and the process was fast, making it suitable for a quick visit while on a tight schedule.
