100th Anniversary - A relatively affordable tempura chain, this shop is located in Shinjuku San-chome, which is very lively. This traditional Japanese standalone building stands out amidst the skyscrapers.
There are plenty of seats that are clean and bright, giving off a nostalgic vibe. The chefs and staff are mostly experienced personnel, symbolizing reliability. There are several set menus to choose from, allowing for selection based on personal preference. Since we happened to sit at the counter, we had the dishes served as they were being fried, while tables seemed to have the set menus served all at once.
The batter here is not particularly crispy, but the combination is just right, with fresh ingredients. The combination of seafood and vegetables is very satisfying, and even in the afternoon, there's still a line to get in.
