🚩Not Late Breakfast If you're late, just have lunch.
Today, I wasn't very hungry for lunch and it was a rare occasion to eat alone, so I found a simple place near the office. "Not Late Breakfast" is somewhat far from the MRT Dunhua Station, but there are many office workers nearby, so the business is quite good. The store is a large space divided into four smaller shops; "Not Late Breakfast" has a better location, facing the alley outside. The exterior features a whole wall of large glass windows, which provides great natural light (but it's also super sunny). The interior decoration is simple and clean, with only ten seats, and the back part is the cooking area, which has a slight smell of oil, but it’s not very strong. The ordering process is to draw the menu on a protective cover and hand it to the staff, then pay after the meal; both cash and Line Pay are accepted.
Today I ordered the omelet sandwich set for $55 and set B for $55 (black tea + egg salad + fries).
Omelet Sandwich: The menu describes it as a handmade sandwich. It's a very soft bread, cut open and stuffed with an omelet, along with lettuce and slices of cucumber. There's a lot of lettuce, and the dressing is not too strong in flavor, making it quite healthy.
Egg Salad: It's super small, where do they even find these mini containers? 🤣 It’s very cold and the taste is pretty ordinary, not specifically recommended.
Fries: Freshly fried and very hot, just sprinkled with a little powder, without added salt; the portion is decent.
Black Tea: I chose unsweetened; it should be Earl Grey tea, which has a unique citrusy bitterness. Personally, I'm not fond of it, but that doesn’t mean it's not good.
Overall, the performance of the shop is quite decent; the space is comfortable, the food quality, and the speed of service are all acceptable. However, the owner has a rather impatient personality and seems to scold the staff (he seems to be the dad), which creates a constant sense of pressure while dining, and I didn't really like that. 🙃
