The name "Hai Yang" actually means "whale" in Taiwanese. This is a newly opened ice cream shop by the beach in Taimali, and the owners have moved here from Kaohsiung. The interior has a bit of a Greek Mediterranean style, and the outdoor seating is very comfortable, especially since there's a windbreak by the roadside that allows for a gentle sea breeze.
The ice cream inside is incredibly smooth and delicious, definitely handmade, without the overly sugary taste of factory ice cream. After eating, you won't feel thirsty or overly full.
The shop also occasionally hosts events, such as tattoo workshops or various seminars. I look forward to more and more activities happening here in the future.
