On the day of the meal, it was Christmas. I wanted to pair the food with some wine, so I chose a bistro. The bar lounge had been on my wishlist for a while, and it felt very fitting.
Once we entered the restaurant, the staff gave a brief introduction to the seating and let us choose our own spots. There were two different areas: the front half was dimly lit and very atmospheric, while the back half had transparent glass and was brighter. We chose the front half, which had a better ambiance.
All the dishes were cute and beautifully presented, perfect for photos. The truffle cream risotto was pretty rich, while the spiced chicken pasta had a good amount of flavor. For fries, we ordered sweet potato fries, which not every restaurant has, and I really liked them. For dessert, we chose tiramisu, which wasn’t too wet and had a slight alcohol flavor, and I enjoyed that as well.
Regarding drinks, I personally prefer sweeter drinks with a strong alcohol presence, so I asked the staff for recommendations. I ended up ordering a gin-based lychee cocktail, which was a super cute pink drink that also had a slightly feminine taste 😂 but it was quite nice. My friend ordered a homemade vodka plum wine, which was stronger but also quite delicious.
After the meal, I asked the staff to help take some photos. I asked if they could capture the Christmas atmosphere, and my friend told me not to make it difficult for others. The staff then asked, “Would you like to borrow Christmas headbands and little decorations for your photos?” I thought it was too cute, so we borrowed them and took several photos. Thank you to them for giving us a happy Christmas lunch!
