#Three Gorges
Although this place is located in Shulin, it is closer to the Three Gorges North Dadai Road and San Ying Er Bridge. Parking nearby is not very convenient. If you are driving, you can find a parking space on Xuefu Road and then walk over.
This place was recommended to me by a friend, who said there’s a wide variety of food and that the flavors are quite good. Today, we specially came as a family of three to pay homage. We ordered a big bowl of large intestine noodles, fried chicken, stinky tofu, and spicy duck blood stinky tofu all at once. The portion of the large intestine noodles is quite ample; it’s no problem for two people to share. The large intestine is very flavorful and soft, and the broth is excellent with a nice bonito flavor.
The fried stinky tofu has a really crispy outer skin, and it’s filled with sauce in the middle. The pickled vegetables are crunchy, but they lack enough sourness. I think the stinky tofu is okay; it’s not very impressive. There’s not enough sauce, so we asked the owner for more twice.
The fried chicken is pretty good. The portion is large, and the thickest part isn't dry or tough. It has a more traditional style of fried chicken, where the skin and meat are somewhat separated, but the texture is good; I recommend this one.
The spicy duck blood stinky tofu has flavorful duck blood, and it’s quite chunky with a tender texture. The broth is slightly salty, and the spiciness is mild. The tofu is decent and absorbs the broth well. A whole bowl is just enough for two to share.
The shop also sells many fried snacks, making it suitable for small groups of friends to come here for drinks and chat. Plus, this place has late operating hours, making it a great spot for late-night snacks.
Overall, it was okay, and I would like to come back next time to try the sweet and spicy. The child thinks the fried chicken is very tasty, and it’s a place we would revisit.
