Yamazaki is a chain bakery that seems to be often opened in stations. The store I bought today is located in Zhongshan Underground Street near the R1 exit. Directly in front of the bakery entrance is the passage leading to Kyoto Station, and next to it is Zhengxian
I pass by Yamazaki every day when I get home from get off work. The most recent advertisement on the billboard is for "Cream Thousand Layer Bread". When I saw the cream and the layer of layer cake, I really couldn't resist. I decided to go in and buy one to try today.
Butter layer bread $38
To be honest, when I saw it in person, my first thought was "It's too small, it costs $38...", but it tastes really good. It's crispy on the outside but very soft on the inside, and tastes like borscht. The aroma and taste are salty. I like this bread very much, but it feels like it’s not low in calories.
Although Yamazaki’s breads are not too cheap. For example, the ultra-traditional powdered sugar donuts with a hollow center that I like to eat cost $32 each. However, based on the experience of buying them before, the taste performance is average, and it is very good in the morning. It’s open early. It’s a good place to buy a piece of bread for breakfast. I recommend it to everyone~
