Wang's Century-Old Noodle Shop, recommended by my colleague, is located at No. 290-6, Sucuo Village, Anding District, Tainan. It is a traditional noodle shop that has been operating for many years. It is a very secluded and hidden noodle shop in the countryside, and if it weren't for my colleague's recommendation, I would probably never have come here in my lifetime. This time, I ordered sesame sauce dry noodles and wonton soup, and it truly lived up to its reputation.
The noodles in the sesame sauce dry noodles were chewy, perfectly seasoned, and had a rich sesame aroma. Paired with the shop's homemade chili sauce, it enhanced the overall flavor. The wontons in the wonton soup were generously filled, and the broth was refreshing and not greasy, making it hard to stop after one bite. The egg drop soup ordered by my colleague also looked quite hearty, with an enticing broth and plenty of ingredients.
The shop offers two types of chili sauce, both fragrant, adding a lot of flavor to the noodles. In terms of price, both the sesame sauce dry noodles and wonton soup were quite affordable, providing great value for money.
Overall, Wang's Century-Old Noodle Shop truly lives up to its reputation. When I left the shop, the small rural road was already filled with motorcycles of people from the South Science Park coming to eat.
