Located at Shuiguan in Pingtung, "That Breakfast Spot" is quite familiar to many locals and is a traditional breakfast shop with a strong presence. On this particular morning, we visited to have breakfast before heading out to hike with friends. Before the journey began, we needed to make sure our stomachs were satisfied. The place was already bustling with customers, with a mix of takeout and dine-in, clearly playing a significant role in the morning life of the area.

I initially intended to order a scallion pancake, but considering the upcoming hike and the need for a more filling breakfast, I ultimately opted for chive-potstickers. The portion was substantial, and holding it felt quite heavy, making it a solid choice for anyone engaging in physical activity. However, the outer skin was relatively thick, with a noticeable doughiness, differing from my personal preference for thin-skinned potstickers with a prominent filling.

Although the skin was thick, it was cooked quite well, with a hint of fragrance from being pan-fried. The filling had a good amount of chives, and the overall seasoning leaned towards homestyle, not overly salty. By the end of eating it, I could definitely tell that there was a high ratio of dough, but this also contributed to a feeling of fullness, which turned out to be beneficial for our hiking plans that day.
