This time I visited the Xiang Fantian Yi'an store, which is a common chain of stinky tofu hotpot brands in Tainan. I have eaten at several of their branches, and the quality has been quite consistent.
Interestingly, their branch locations are usually quite peculiar, so I privately call it "weird place hotpot."
The self-service bar inside offers a rich selection: ice cream, popcorn, various drinks, and all kinds of noodles, combined with relatively low prices, making it a hotpot restaurant I visit every week.
The performance of the hotpot itself is also quite good, with flavors at a certain level. However, there are sometimes differences in details. For example, at the one next to Nanhua University, I felt the shrimp was not fresh, so I almost never order seafood hotpots.
This time at the Yi'an store, I ordered the spicy milk hotpot, which was aromatic, flavorful, and generous in portion, consistent with the standards of other branches. If I were to make a recommendation, I would first suggest the spicy milk hotpot or the classic stinky hotpot, as both are stable and delicious.
