I had a satisfying dessert at the big bowl shop in Nanke New City! I ordered brown sugar shave ice, paired with grass jelly, glutinous rice balls, and taro, and the flavor was amazing. The brown sugar was rich and sweet, instantly refreshing when drizzled over the shave ice. The grass jelly was smooth and refreshing, the glutinous rice balls were soft and chewy, and especially the taro was fluffy and dense, melting in your mouth. Every bite was filled with happiness, making it a perfect choice for satisfying cravings in the summer.
Next, I also tried the black sesame dumpling. It was definitely the highlight of the trip and highly recommended! The mochi outer layer was soft and elastic, with the warm sesame filling giving off a delightful aroma. It was rich but not overwhelming, and the moment you bit into it, the sweet and warm flavors intertwined in your mouth, creating an overwhelming sense of satisfaction that made me want to have another one. Overall, this shop's desserts not only had generous portions, but also used fresh ingredients, and the flavors were quite layered, especially suitable for those who love traditional Taiwanese sweets. Whether it's the refreshing shave ice or the heartwarming sesame dumpling, this visit was absolutely worth it. Next time I pass through the New City, I will definitely come back to savor this simple yet delicious taste of happiness!
