Beili Gong has several branches in Kaohsiung, focusing on combining authentic French craftsmanship with Taiwanese fruits, developed by a French chef in Taiwan.
The location I visited is on the third floor of SKM Park Avenue's food court. Although there's competition from 31 Ice Cream next door, the buying crowd has never stopped, and every time I walk by, I see customers struggling to choose in front of the display (I personally feel 😍).
French ice cream is inherently not budget-friendly, so it’s a great option to occasionally treat yourself or have it as a dessert after a meal! The variety of flavors is relatively limited compared to other ice cream shops, but each one is quite distinctive and not monotonous. Sometimes, you can find delicate flavors that are hard to come by elsewhere.
The pistachio is also highly recommended. Even though it’s labeled as salted roasted pistachio, it doesn't taste salty at all, just a very strong pistachio flavor that makes you reluctant to finish the last bite 🥹.
Overall, I highly recommend it! It’s very enjoyable to eat occasionally. Additionally, there is a QR code at the counter; if you register as a member, you can participate in a lottery (100% winning rate). Be sure to scan it before you buy! 👍🏻
