This shop is located in the old street of Hukou, and it looks rather unassuming. I hadn't noticed this shop before; later, I was drawn in by the rice aroma noodle tea mung bean smoothie featured on the sign.
The seating area has both indoor and outdoor options, and since there's air conditioning inside, we ended up sitting indoors. The owner is very friendly and was chatting with the customers in front of us while helping them check the bus schedule.
The interior is very cozy, with many Hakka elements. Although there are only a few simple tables and chairs, it is very clean and comfortable.
We ordered a serving of grilled mochi and a glass of rice aroma noodle tea mung bean smoothie. Since the owner was working alone, it took a little time to prepare the dishes.
The grilled mochi was warm, very soft, and chewy. The powder it was dipped in was probably peanut powder! It wasn't overly sweet, and it was quite good. The rice aroma noodle tea mung bean smoothie had a lot of ingredients—there were rice aroma, grass jelly, and mung bean paste. The rice aroma was very fragrant, with a subtle noodle tea flavor, and the mung bean had a rich taste. Overall, it was truly delicious.
