This restaurant, located in a lane in Macau, is a famous hot pot place called "Win to Porridge." Although the name might suggest it specializes in porridge, it actually focuses on hot pot, especially their famous Clam Soup Hot Pot, which is a must-try delicacy when visiting Macau. This time, the three of us dined there and made a reservation in advance via WhatsApp, but the only available slot was at 10:30 PM. Thankfully, it was close to our hotel, so we made it just in time.

Food details and impressions:
Clam Soup Hot Pot ($188) - A must-order
A signature dish! The amount of clams is incredibly generous, and each one is plump and sweet. As soon as the soup base arrives, a delightful aroma fills the air, complemented by a generous amount of minced garlic and chili peppers. After simmering the vegetables and meat, the flavor of the broth intensifies, making it delicious until the last drop.

Hand-Pulled Chicken ($128) - A must-order
Must be reserved in advance. The surface is generously sprinkled with mustard, which has a strong and spicy aroma that is very distinctive. The first bite is a bit overwhelming, but it compels you to keep eating; don't miss it if you love bold flavors.

Salt and Pepper Corn ($58) - A must-order
Golden corn segments are lightly fried, bringing out the flavors of salt, pepper, and sweet peppers. Its refreshing taste makes it perfect as an appetizer or as a side dish with the hot pot.

Black Pork ($88)
Well-marbled and tender, it simply needs to be briefly cooked before being dipped in the soup for a delicious taste.

Shrimp Paste ($88)
The freshly made shrimp paste is bouncy and firm and has a distinct shrimp flavor. It adds value as an ingredient for the hot pot.

Baby Napa Cabbage ($38)
Pre-cut for convenience. It absorbs the essence of the clam soup, making it particularly sweet.

White Radish ($35)
Cut very thin, it easily absorbs flavors after cooking and becomes especially sweet when soaked in the broth.

Overall Evaluation:

Although the location is inconspicuous, this place is very popular. The freshness and quantity of the Clam Soup Hot Pot leave a strong impression, along with the bold flavor of the Mustard Hand-Pulled Chicken, creating a diverse range of flavors and a variety of dishes overall. The environment may not be upscale, but the old style of the restaurant has its own charm. If you enjoy seafood hot pot and bold flavors, you must add this restaurant to your must-try list in Macau.

Remember, the Hand-Pulled Chicken must be reserved in advance, or you almost won't be able to get it on-site!

Lian Kee Chicken Rice
ChineseSubang Jaya
The place is a stall located inside the MeiSek Kopitiam. It operates in the evening as the morning and afternoon is for the other stalls. Drinks have to be ordered from the drinks stall via self-service. Parking is awailable but would be hard to find on busy days. I was expecting things to taste better as there were a number of patients dining in. The steam chicken and rice was just ordinary. The beansprouts lacked taste and were not crunchy. However, the redeeming qualities of the place was their wantan and pork balls. The wantan was full of flavourful stuffing and the chillie oil in the soup gave a nice kick to it. The pork balls were very good as well, with a firm springy texture. Price is pretty standard subang prices. Overall, i wont come here unless I am craving chicken rice and am unwilling to go to better places. While i am here, the porkballs and wantan is a must have.

Big Big Wantan-Mee & Rice Damansara Jaya
ChinesePetaling Jaya
Known for its wan tan mee, hence the name, decided to visit the shop. It's been a few years since i have been here and wanted to have it again. Parking is difficult to find on the road, with alot of people double parking. Might be better to park in the atria mall, though please note the parking fees isnt cheap. Had to wait a few minutes, as the lunch crowd was happening. Service was ok. To order, just write your order code on a piece of paper and pass to the staff. Food came relatively quickly but unfortunately the quality was lacking. The portion was big but the quantity of char siew was small. The char siew had the premium look but was tough and no crispy caramel parts. The caramel parts were abit sweet and sticky instead. The noodles was decent and the sauce paired well with it. However, in the past there were pork lards placed along the noodles. The wantans, though packed with filling; just tasted normal. They only had 3 pieces only. The white coffee was terrible. It was very diluted with no flavour at all. The payment option of cash was very dissapointing, especially since almost every other place has atleast a qr paying option. I can imagine this point alone will put off alot of customers. Overall, i wont really come back unless i really really want to eat wan tan mee. Its just slighly above mediocre wan tan mee but definitely not living up to its name.

時時香RICE BAR 宜蘭新月店
ChineseYilan County
This is a chain restaurant that's present in a lot of malls, and generally popular. We were quite late for our lunch (2pm) but was happy to see that this place was still open. The food was very satisfying. The dishes came out all fairly quickly except for the meatball dish. At that point we were pretty much already ready to go at that point, so the only negative side to our experience. That meatball dish was also very good though. I found all of the flavors very familiar and comforting for Chinese food. The omelette with pickled radish especially was nice, the inside was soft and the radish had just the right amount of salt. Service was nice and attentive, though expected since we were the only ones present besides one other party.
