The restaurant in Dubai is located near the mosque at Weiwuying (Kaohsiung Armed Forces General Hospital). It is recommended to take the MRT…
The menu features Arabic dishes (Lebanese, Iraqi, Yemeni) and East African cuisine (Ethiopian).
The Mandi lamb is tender and the spiced rice with lamb and curry has a very rich aroma. The spiced rice is served with a salad of bell peppers and homemade sauces, making it very refreshing. The curry also has a strong spice flavor, which pairs well with either flatbread or rice.
What impressed me the most was the flatbread, which has a crispy bottom but is chewy, making it a perfect match with the curry. The lentil soup is also very tasty, full of turmeric flavor, and makes me feel healthier immediately. The lentils are cooked very soft, giving a smooth texture.
Overall, the meal was good but on the expensive side. The interior decor is refreshing and as soon as you step inside, you can smell the spices or something. The owner is Middle Eastern and can communicate in English. It's normal that their Chinese isn't very good, and there are some things that might be hard to understand.
