Ever since I ate Asam meatballs in Changhua, I have been looking for delicious fried meatballs. Let me start with the conclusion: this Jiajiale meatballs cannot beat Asam meatballs (it seems like a tongue twister😂)
This meatball shop is located near Dajia Zhenlan Palace, about an 8-minute walk from Dajia Station. Many blogs that introduce the food around Dajia will introduce this store, so I stopped by this time when I came to Dajia Zhenlan Palace to say goodbye. came to visit
Arrived around 11 a.m., there were not many guests, there were seats both indoors and outdoors, and the outdoor seats were also shaded, so you didn’t have to worry about being too hot.
The meatballs here are sold both steamed (Q's) and fried (crispy). My friend and I each ordered one, and we were able to fulfill two wishes at once.
PS In addition to meatballs, they also sell some soups here, such as pig blood soup, bitter gourd broth, tribute ball soup, etc.
Q’s meatballs $50
The outer skin of the meatballs is really soft. The meat inside is not minced meat, but a steak with a very solid texture. I personally think it is a little tough.
The sauce is pink in color, slightly sweet, and sprinkled with some grainy peanut powder. The sauce is quite delicious.
Crispy meatballs $55
In fact, the filling is the same as Q's meatballs, but the whole meatballs are deep-fried. They are really crispy and you can hear the sound when you knock the outer skin. It deserves the title of crispy skin.
However, I don’t think the coating is salty enough. It’s obviously the same sauce, but it doesn’t seem to be absorbed by the coating (it’s not tasty enough). Sprinkling a little pepper would make it more flavorful.
There is chili sauce on the table. It is recommended for those who dare to eat spicy food. It is spicy and delicious! (But it’s really spicy, please try a drop or two first)
Overall, it's highly recommended if you want to eat crispy skin, but the meatballs are not flavorful enough, and they don't have the same feeling of happiness and healing that I had when I ate Asan.
