鼎源斋涮肉 南锣鼓巷店

This is a delicious hot pot restaurant in Beijing that we finally got to try. At first, my family noticed the wonderful aroma wafting out as we passed by, so we decided to specially return for dinner. As soon as we entered the restaurant, we received a very warm welcome. The service staff were quite complete; once we made a reservation, two waiters came over to assist with ordering. Perhaps because we looked like foreigners, they didn't ask us to scan the code to order, but instead helped us place our order directly!

At the beginning, the broth impressed my dad, and combined with the fact that the meat was really very fresh, we ordered three different types of lamb. Although they came from different cuts, each had a unique flavor, and we felt that each was worth the price! Even though the dipping sauces had to be ordered separately, we found them to be more reasonable compared to another place we visited. There were also additional condiments like ginger, scallions, and garlic that we could help ourselves to, so we didn't have to worry about adapting to their dipping sauce flavors! Personally, I ate very happily, and after finishing, I was so tempted that I ordered a different lamb dish just to try!

After finishing our meal, if you leave a review on their rating site, whether good or bad, they will give you a small dessert, mainly because the service was really thoughtful and the food was delicious. Therefore, I didn't hesitate to leave a five-star review on their public rating site, and later they happily gave me some tanghulu (candied hawthorn). When we were settling the bill, they even asked us to use their discount coupons. Although it was just a small discount, we were still very happy!

My family and I had a very pleasant dining experience here. If anyone plans to come to Beijing for hot pot, we would definitely recommend this place over the many other tourist-filled restaurants. I feel that those can be skipped! I hope those who visit Beijing will share their experiences with me too!
